Holly's Big Temple Day

I am hoping someone will soon post some wedding picture. (hint hint) I didn't have my camera and so I am relying on other people to post their picture so I can see them. This is a picture of Holly and Josh after Holly had been through the Temple for the first time.

Bear Lake 2008

I have been so busy with the wedding that I haven't had a chance to post anything. I finally think I am recuperated. Here are some pictures of our week in Bear Lake. We had a wonderful time. This year we rented a cabin and had lots of room to spread out. Everyone was able to come and stay the whole time. Even with the wedding just two weeks away we were still able to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. It was too cold to get in the water but we still had fun. Here are some of our adventures.

Reed giving the boys some tips.

A shot gun wedding??

Josh, Nick, and Clint showing some of their shooting skills.

One Morning early all the little boys and some of the big boys went for a quick ride before breakfast.

Holly and Josh's Bridals

Today Holly and Josh took their Bridals. Holly didn't want to do them with out Josh so she made him come along. They had them taken in Salt Lake down town. These are just some I took while they weregetting set up the real photographer. That the reason they aren't looking at the camera. I kind of had to be sneeky. I hope they turn out good. The wind was blowing so it was hard to keep Holly hair straight. But they looked Great.

Zeke's Birthday

Today is Zeke's birthday. Yesterday we went to Jungle Jim's. Most everyone was out of town or working so it was just the boys and Bella. They had a great time. Bumper Cars aren't very fun when you are the only one!!
Zeke thought the Jeeps were the greatest.

Cole and Caleb on the spinning sausers.

Cole love motorcycles!

The boys on the flying space ships.

There is one ride that adults can ride, so Ammie took advantage of a free ride.

The cake is always the best part of the party!

Second Time Boating

The summer is almost over and we have only had the boat out twice. That's so sad. We have such a hard time getting everyone together. Two Saturday's ago we were able to get Holly and Josh and Clint and his family to come with us to Pineview. I hate going boating on Saturday because it so busy and people are crazy. We got up early and avoided most of the crowd. Here are some picture of our outing.

The two love birds

Cole thought it was so cool to be buried in the sand. Every time Clint would pull him out he would want to do it again.

We made this cool sandcastle and Cole couldn't wait to smash it down.

Cole playing ball with grandpa.

Bella's first boating trip. We don't have life jacket small enough for her so she had to just wave from the shore.

Blog Slacker

Wow!! it has been a long time since I have updated this blog. I didn't seem like that long until I look at the date and realized that is has been over a month. Stacy asked me today if I wanted to pay her to update my blog. It is tempting. So here is a quick update of what has been going on in my world. I guess not anything worth writing about happened in June. We had a nice fourth of July. We haven't been to the the Kaysville parade for a while, so we decided to go to that. We started out going to breakfast in the park. We have never done that before. I guess because we always had either Stacy or Holly or both in the parade and were too busy to make it there in time. Here are some picture of our holiday.

Holly and her boys!!

We took the boys fishing on Saturday to a fish farm. That seem to be the only way we can catch any fish. I cook them on Sunday and no one would eat them so I guess it's a good thing we can't catch any.

Baby Bella comes tomorrow. (Clint and Talesha's little girl) I will post picture of her tomorrow.

I think she look ready. What do you think???

Mothers Day With Grandma Brown

These pictures are out of sinc with the others but I thought I would add them anyway. We took Grandma Brown out lunch for Mothers Day on the Saturday. We gave her a photo album of pictures from the past year.
This is the other end of the Table. I think Caleb took this picture.

Zeke with a giant Drink.

Ammie, Paul, Caleb and You can barely see Zeke at the end of the table.

Virginia and Washington D.C.

Reed Holly and I went to Virginia for Memorial Day. I had never been there so it was so fun to see the things that I have only seen pictures of. Because it was Memorial day there was I lot of stuff going that there isn't usually. All the memorials and cemeteries had flags and flowers on all the graves. We went to this little town and they had put Luminaries at each grave and they were having a special program that night. We didn't stay but it was pretty impressive to see all the white sacks everywhere.

Here we are at Arlington Cemetery.

I took this picture as we were running through the Smithsonian on our way to see the Holocaust museum. I thought we would have time to go back but we ran out of time.

Holly at a really cool cemetery

Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Mothers Day!!

This Mothers Day I told Reed that I wanted him and the boys to do all the cooking with out any help from the girls. Usually Reed cooks and he get all the girls to help. I don't think it is fair for the girls to cook so the boy did it all alone. And the girls just watched. It was quite entertaining. Everything turned out really good. Thanks Boys.

I had the best Mothers Day! I got something that I have been wanting for as long as I can remember. This is before I opened my present.

This is my new toy! I haven't made anything yet cause I don't really know how. I have classes next Saturday. Then watch out I will be a sewing maniac. I am so excited!

Thought for the day!

Reed get these thought everyday and this one I thought was particularly timely. Feel free to share with others. Have a wonderful day.

I am grateful for all of my family and Friends.

Gratitude is Happiness

Over the past few years I have noticed that it seems as if the more people have, the less grateful they are. Strange as it is, I really have come to believe that this is generally true. Interestingly, this, like so much in life is counter intuitive.
In American society there is wide-spread belief that in order to be happy, we need to have lots of money. This message is driven in so much of what we see and hear that it is almost impossible for us to believe anything else. And, since we don’t have as much as others we see, we think of what we have as inadequate so, we become restless and develop an appetite for more and more. In this drive to “have it all,” we fail to feel grateful for the wonderful things we already have and enjoy. So, I have learned that it is impossible for us to find happiness unless we feel gratitude! I decided to put this to the test the other day. I spent time within myself and asked one question, “What is the worst thing that can happen?” Well, the worst thing was that I could die! Other than that I found that I had a number of wonderful options no matter what could happen. I also saw some very positive things that could come into my life as a result of the “worst” thing that could happen to me. There is no doubt that this is the first time in my life where I could see wonder flowing from a dreaded fear. Here is just one of the things I saw that could be positive: I talked to my children and found that they would work side by side with me to help in any difficult situation. It gave me a chance to see the wonderful people they have grown to become; they have strength and courage. Each of my children has unique talent to share with the rest of us. We have a strong bond as a family that can’t be broken by external forces. Together, we can overcome any obstacle placed before us. Try using gratitude in your life. If you do, you will see the world in a different, unexpected light and you’ll draw more goodness to you. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll find the happiness you’ve been searching for! By the way, thank you!

Palm Springs

We took a gondola ride up to the top of this mountain. It was 100 degrees when got on and 10 minutes later it was 50 degrees. I had to buy this nifty sweatshirt to keep warm. We went for a little hike and then I didn't need a coat anymore.
We were driving down the freeway and I looked over and there was Elmo hanging out the window of this truck. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Hanging out with Lucy

Reed and I went to Palm Spring for a convention. Here are some picture we took. We had breakfast at this little place in down town Palm Springs. These ladies must of been 90. I couldn't believe what they could do. They must have done it all there life. Probable in the circus.
